Ramsey Solutions CEO Dave Ramsey announced this week that the Williamson County-based Ramsey Solutions will invest $52 million to expand its corporate headquarters in Franklin and create 600 jobs.
Ramsey announced this in a press release on the Tennessee Department of Community and Economic Development’s website. Ramsey announced this with Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee and ECD Commissioner Bob Rolfe.
“Ramsey Solutions will build a second office building, totaling nearly 192,000 square feet and six stories, on its corporate campus in Williamson County,” according to the press release.
“This is part of Ramsey Solutions’ continued expansion, which started in 2015 when the company closed on 47 acres of land in the Berry Farms development.”
As The Tennessee Star reported last year, Ramsey held a grand opening ceremony for his new corporate headquarters.
Ramsey, a financial coach, continues to host his nationally-syndicated radio talk show, this time from the new building in Franklin. Ramsey told a crowd of several hundred people at the time that the new building is not about him or his business.
According to Ramsey’s website, he and his wife once had to declare bankruptcy. Ramsey went on to say that if you help enough people in life then you don’t have to worry about money.
Ramsey’s previous headquarters was in Cool Springs.
Ramsey spokeswoman Megan McConnell told The Star last year that the Ramsey Solutions team was scattered in four different buildings in Cool Springs.
In a speech last year, Ramsey praised Tennessee for having a no-income tax and a business-friendly attitude.
“Businesses hire people, and people work at businesses to make money that allow people to feed their kids and live their dreams and send their kids to college,” Ramsey said.
“The state of Tennessee is an unusual place. There are states that don’t understand that businesses are where people get to live their dreams, because businesses create jobs. Governments don’t. And our state and county realize that.”
